Honoring our Soldiers and their Families

Dear Parishioners,

Memorial Day has passed, but we here at St John the Baptist Catholic Church feel that we should honor not only the men and women who have died in the service of our country but all the men and women that are currently serving in our military every day. Their dedication and valor play a big role in the greatness of our country.

The sacrifices that their families make also merit our recognition. Therefore, we invite you and your families who have loved ones in the military to send us their photos to be displayed in our church vestibule, whether they are in combat zones or not. All of them play a great part in guarding our safety and liberty. By this photo display we want to encourage all our parishioners to pray for the spiritual and physical welfare of our troops.

Please pray for the safety of our soldiers in Iraq and other nations where they find themselves in danger of their lives. Also please pray for peace in the world.

Your participation in this project is deeply appreciated. Photos of our military personnel may be emailed to: kayleeski@sbcglobal.net Or you may deliver them to the rectory office.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Fr. Hildebrand
